Learn from the Pros
We believe in raising the bar for everyone. This section pulls back the curtain on real methods, real tools, and real jobsite techniques used by professional integrators. Whether you're a DIY homeowner, architect, or aspiring installer — here's where you'll learn how it's done right.
The Architecture of Light
At Duven Integration, we believe lighting does more than brighten a room — it sets the mood, defines the space, and brings your home to life.
In this video, you’ll see how advanced lighting systems from Lutron and Ketra transform a single space into four completely different environments — all through light alone.
From soft and cozy to vibrant and energized, this is the power of intelligent lighting, beautifully controlled

IoT
The Internet of Things (IoT) is a network of physical objects embedded with sensors, software, and other technologies that connect and exchange data with other devices and systems over the internet. These "smart" devices, which can include anything from home appliances and industrial machinery to vehicles and wearables, gather and share data through connectivity, sensors, and actuators.

This data is then processed and analyzed to generate insights or trigger automated actions, enhancing efficiency, convenience, and decision-making across various sectors such as smart homes, healthcare, transportation, and manufacturing.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_of_things
Human-Centric Lighting
Human-centric lighting is a concept that goes beyond simply illuminating a space. It focuses on how light affects human biology, health, and well-being. It aims to mimic natural daylight patterns throughout the day to support our natural circadian rhythms.
Here's a more detailed breakdown of what "human-centric lighting" entails:
-
Circadian Rhythm Support: Our bodies have an internal 24-hour clock called the circadian rhythm, which regulates sleep-wake cycles, hormone production, mood, and other vital functions. Natural daylight plays a crucial role in synchronizing this rhythm. Human-centric lighting aims to replicate the changes in color temperature and intensity of natural light throughout the day.
-
Cooler, Bluer Light (like morning sunlight): This type of light is energizing, increases alertness, and can improve focus.
-
Warmer, Yellower Light (like sunset): This type of light is more relaxing and signals the body to prepare for sleep.
-
-
Color Temperature Tuning: Human-centric lighting systems often allow for the adjustment of the color temperature of the light, measured in Kelvin (K). Lower Kelvin values (e.g., 2700K) produce warmer, yellower light, while higher Kelvin values (e.g., 5000K or more) produce cooler, bluer light.
-
Intensity Control: Just like natural light varies in intensity throughout the day, human-centric lighting systems often allow for dimming and brightening to match the desired task or time of day.
-
Beyond Visual Acuity: Traditional lighting often focuses solely on providing enough light to see clearly. Human-centric lighting considers the non-visual effects of light on our bodies and minds.
In the context of your "Smart Lighting & Color Changing Solutions," highlighting the "human-centric" aspect emphasizes that your lighting goes beyond basic illumination and offers benefits like:
-
Improved Sleep Quality: By providing warmer light in the evenings.
-
Increased Alertness and Focus: By offering cooler light during the day.
-
Enhanced Mood and Well-being: By mimicking natural light patterns that our bodies are evolutionarily adapted to.
-
Support for Natural Biological Rhythms: Leading to overall better health and productivity. 1
System Equipment Manifest
A complete reference for all devices, components, and materials included in a technology integration project.
Definition: A System Equipment Manifest is a comprehensive list of ALL of the equipment required to complete and integrate a functional technology system. It includes both client-supplied and contractor-supplied components, clearly identifying the role each item plays in the system design.
This document serves as a technical roadmap and agreement between the client and integrator, ensuring transparency, accountability, and a shared understanding of the project's equipment scope.
Procurement-as-a-Service
Optional Add-On: Equipment Buying Without the Headaches
At Duven, we believe in Consumer Equipment Freedom—you’re free to purchase your own devices from anywhere you like. Whether it’s online, from a retailer, or through a boutique supplier, we’ll professionally install the system you want, using the gear you choose.
But if you'd rather not handle the logistics?
We offer Procurement-as-a-Service as an optional, flat-fee add-on.
In this model, we buy the gear for you as an administrative service—not as a reseller. You still own everything outright, but we handle the purchasing, coordination, and warranty paperwork for a flat 20% fee based on the total cost of goods.
Here’s what we take off your plate:
-
Placing equipment orders with approved vendors
-
Coordinating delivery schedules to align with installation
-
Tracking shipments, verifying items, and logging serial numbers
-
Registering warranties and handling future claims if needed
Why clients use this:
Some want full control—others want nothing to do with tracking gear or dealing with shipping issues. If you'd rather have us handle it all, we’re ready. If not, no problem—you’re free to shop your way.
