Scott Alan Vande (AV) Vegte is a fourth-generation technologist, master electrician, and nationally recognized expert in AVLA systems, (audio, video, lighting, and acoustics).

His career spans over decades starting back in the 90's designing and delivering high-performance environments for homes, churches, and performance venues across the U.S.

Today, he leads Duven Integration, bringing high-end smart home and integrated system solutions back to his hometown region of Northwest Iowa as well as to his current home in the Gulf Coast region.

Founding Vision to National AV Leadership

Scott began his integration career by founding Hills Home Systems, one of the Midwest’s early residential automation firms. After scaling and selling the company, he stepped into national leadership roles, including positions with Sweetwater and CSD Group.

At CSD, Scott currently serves as a senior leader in AVIXA-style design-build integration, overseeing large-scale AVL projects and partnering with BICSI contractors nationwide to deliver complex, code-aligned systems.

A Local Face with National Reach

Duven Integration is Scott’s return to hands-on ownership, this time with a renewed focus on the local smart home experience & CEDIA Market.

Through Duven, Scott supports homeowners, architects, and builders with best-in-class IoT environments, smart lighting, automated shading, AV systems, and voice control.

For commercial clients, he seamlessly bridges local service with national execution by channeling projects through his larger network when needed.

One Expert, Multiple Channels

Scott’s unique model ensures no AVLA client is underserved. Whether it’s a 1,500-seat sanctuary handled through CSD or a lakeside smart home managed entirely by Duven, he leverages the right business channel to meet each project’s needs, while maintaining local support and long-term service through Duven Integration.

He also serves as an AVL and acoustics consultant for architects through DBA Design Group, further extending his design-first impact across the built environment.

Born and raised in Northwest Iowa, Scott’s career has always balanced technical excellence with deep respect for legacy, community, and trust. His family’s involvement in technology dates back to 1916, and that generational commitment to innovation continues today, only now it includes voice-activated shades, responsive lighting, predictive audio modeling, and frictionless user experiences in keeping with the modern home & times.
